Archangels are very powerful and their true form is very overwhelming. Archangels are fierce and absolute. Archangels serve God and they live in heaven. they are the most powerfull angels in heaven and they rule over heaven under Michael their leader - they are heavens greatest weapons. Castiel states that Archangels are tied to prophets.
Powers
The full scope of the archangels power is unknown, they are however proberbly virtually omnipotent. Each archangels' powers would be unique to them as all archangels are patrons of certain things; e.g Raphael-doctors, Michael-soldiers. And the higher ranking archangels like michael would be more powerfull. They would at least posses all the other angelic powers to a higher degree.
