Misha presides over the Board of Directors for The Art Department, Inc., the parent organization of Random Acts. He works with Cinde Monsam to set goals for the organizations and takes a hands-on approach to conquering the world, one random act of kindness at a time.
Misha is an actor best known for his role as Castiel, the angel, on the TV series, Supernatural. He has appeared in a number of popular series including 24, ER, Charmed and NCIS in addition to his movie roles in Liberty Heights, Girl, Interrupted and, Karla. He also produces and directs.
Misha was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a BA in Social Theory from The University of Chicago, where he graduated with honors. Before turning to acting, he worked as a carpenter and wood worker in New England’s Berkshire Mountains.
Misha interned at the White House during the Clinton Administration and while living in Washington, DC, he worked at National Public Radio. Misha is a published poet with work published in several literary journals. A film Misha helped produce, Loot, won Best Documentary Feature at the LA Film Festival and aired on HBO. Misha has traveled extensively and has spent several months in seclusion in monasteries in Yosemite, Tibet and elsewhere. Misha is a certified lifeguard, EMT andmotorcyclist.
