Sulphur or sulfur is an abundant, multivalent non-metallic chemical element. It notably produces a smell like rotten eggs. True to its regard in the Bible as Hell's brimstone, sulphuric dust can be an indicator of a demon's presence at a location it has visited.
Relation to demonsEdit
Demons apparently produce a sulphuric yellow powder wherever they use their supernatural abilities on Earth. (Phantom Traveller) Due to this, one can usually tell if a demon has been somewhere recently by the sulphur that the demonic presence will have left behind. It would appear that the more powerful a demon is, the more sulphur it produces; low-level demons only leave a very small, slight sprinkling of sulphur, whereas Azazel left much thicker amounts, enough to line a window.
